Spy Racing 2012 F1 350cc

I hope someone could help. Our quad has a 11cms ground clearance which can mean rerouting and or driving very slowly.
I bought some spacers but after dismantling the suspension the arms will not drop, giving a solid bang when it moved up and down.
I have studied it and examined it closely but I dont understand why it wont drop.
Maybe someone else has owned one here?
